Holly Meeker Rom
Holly Meeker Rom is an award watercolor painter and collage artist.
She has received awards for her paintings in numerous national juried competitions. Her paintings are in collections of Hillary Clinton,
The Osborne Retirement Home, Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY
and Time Warner Cable among others. Her subjects range from gardens,
to architecture, nature close-ups to scenes where she has lived such as Rye, New York and New York City and Ely, MN. She also has many watercolor sketchbooks based on trips around the world. Her vision is lyrical, alive with rhythm and color and drawn with grace and precision.
She is always experimenting with new creative ideas. Her latest body of work was a solo show at The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center Galleries in Bethesda, MD and NYU Langone Medical Center MSB Gallery
in NYC where she exhibited 12 paintings inspired by the theme of climate change.
She is First Vice president of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, since 2010. She has been a docent at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for 17 years and a revered educator of watercolor and drawing for thirty years at colleges and continuing education institutions. She has an MFA in painting from American University in Washington, DC. She is a full artist member of
the Salmagundi Club in NYC.
